Finally done and finally scanned! My scanner decided to go on a strike and after that suddenly talk in Italian after I finished this so people waiting for the finished version had to be patient. But it's here!
This is a Torosaurus, based on the creature from the Walking With Dinosaurs Live Experience.
Like I explained with the first WIP, I'm not trying to incorporate the latest scientific knowledge in this drawing. I just wanted to draw a Torosaurus because the two from the show were my favorites (after the Brachiosaurs).
Total time taken 13-14 hours (I didn't keep track, could be more), on brandless A4 drawing paper, using brandless pencils of varying hardness, a black pencil for the shadows, french stumps, q-tips, kneaded eraser and a regular eraser.
When you first encounter this picture you're like OMG!! You also check for mistakes and kinda criticize this piece. When you're eyes about to give up, you notice that, it's like moving, makes it look weird like the mixture of pencil fools your eyes but not. This is an amazing artwork and how the maker manage to blend the pencils and almost everything here is perfect for me. I have no complaints whatsoever except the background. We can't tell for sure if the torosaurus is on the desert or somewhere. I suggest putting more little bit detail on the background for the others to know whether it is a plain or desert or maybe a glacier but overall great. I'll rate this all 5 stars except vision!! Hope you like my critique!!
